Where exactly does creativity come from?

Where does your creativity come from? Do you believe yourself to be a conduit of divine grace? Do you see yourself as the sole creator of your experiences and thus your art? Where do your creative ideas come from?

Does the muse entice you into creating? Does the silence of boredom compel you to embrace the empty page? Or do you feel the pull of your creator, of the universe, to build other worlds in stories, drawings, and song?

I'd like to think my creativity comes from my inner being, soul, God.. It is always very inspiring when I get a surge of creativity. =)
